165 Apartments Across 4 Campuses
Today, IEH provides 165 apartments in which the low-income elderly and the disabled have found a home. IEH has four campuses:
Hillside Village in Vineyard Haven (55 apartments)
Love House in Vineyard Haven (5 apartments)
Woodside Village in Oak Bluffs (95 apartments)
Aidylberg Village in Oak Blufffs (10 apartments)
Safe, Comfortable & Accessible.
The buildings in each campus are located in pleasing Island landscapes and are built in keeping with Island architecture. Each apartment is approximately 550 square feet and fully self-sufficient. Some are designed for full access for the disabled and all accommodate independent living for residents. There are community rooms where residents gather for meetings or social events, such as “Movie Night”.
All the campuses are located on Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA) bus lines so that access to town and other Vineyard services is available.
Our Apartments
There are 165 apartments across our campuses in Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs. Ten percent of the apartments are handicapped accessible and are located at our Hillside Village campus. All Island Elderly Housing properties are equipped with a laundry room with washer and dryers. Heat, electric and hot water are included in the monthly rent.

Woodside Village I
HUD PROPERTY
Woodside Village I is a two story building with 45 apartments with elevator access. A VTA bus stop is located outside the entrance. The Property Management office is located in the lobby of the building. The Support Services Coordinator office is located on the second floor. There are two community rooms and a creative recreation room for resident meetings, social gatherings, and residential programming. A large community garden is located behind Woodside I. All of Woodside Village is situated next to walking trails of the southern woodlands.

Woodside Village II
HUD PROPERTY
Woodside Village II is a two story building with 18 one bedroom apartments with elevator access. The downstairs apartments have sliding doors off of the living room with a garden area. The administrative and maintenance offices are located off the lobby. Woodside Village II has a large community room for all the Woodside Village residents to gather for monthly community lunches, holiday events and guest speakers. All of Woodside Village is situated next to walking trails of the southern woodlands. -

Margaret C. Love House

Margaret C. Love House is a two story house donated by the late Margaret C. Love to IEH. There are 5 studio efficiency apartments. This property is located on upper Main Street, Vineyard Haven. It is adjacent to the harbor and close to town. -
Hillside Village
USDA PROPERTY
Our USDA properties are located at Hillside Village I consisting of 40 units. Each apartment has private entry from the outside and a garden or porch area. A VTA bus stop is located outside the entrance.
